On Tuesday, a massive nest of Common Swift (Ababil) located at Ajmeri Gate collapsed due to heavy rainfall, leaving hundreds of young swallows homeless. The sight of the fallen nest stunned onlookers. Concerned citizens promptly contacted a rescue organization for help. The Help and Serve Charitable Trust dispatched a rescue team to manage the situation.
The team, led by Ajay Yadav (former councilor and chairman) and Neeraj Chaturvedi, successfully recovered the nest and transported it to a shelter at Deer Park managed by the Forest Department. Upon inspection, the team found 125 surviving chicks, 32 dead chicks, and 37 eggs. The rescued chicks were handed over to Forest Forester Bheruram Jat for further care. The rescue team included Neeraj Chaturvedi, Harjinder Singh (Pappu Sardar), Lakhan Sahu, and Kishan Jangid.
