Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, graduating in 2003. Her education provided a strong foundation for her nursing career and prepared her to deliver high-quality care within a specialized rehabilitation environment. Over the years, she has continued expanding her clinical knowledge while developing a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of rehabilitation patients.
As a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), Karen demonstrates her dedication to maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. She is also an active member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, remaining engaged with advancements in rehabilitation care and the continued growth of the nursing profession.
In addition to her responsibilities as a rehabilitation nurse, Karen serves as a preceptor for new nurses at Community Rehabilitation Hospital North. Through mentorship and hands-on guidance, she helps new team members develop confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and understand the unique principles of rehabilitation nursing. Her dedication to supporting future nurses reflects her commitment not only to her patients but also to the continued advancement of healthcare.
